Lagoon

We went to Lagoon on Saturday before the Shurtliff reunion and we had so much fun.  There were a bunch of rides that we could all go on together so we really enjoyed that.  I wish we had taken more pictures but here are the ones we took.

Pretty girls

We all went on the great big ferris wheel (I don't remember what it's called)

Joy got to go on lots of rides and she was really brave, even on the scary rides.  She thought the rattle snake rapids raft ride was really fun.  We all got soaked on that ride, especially me, but it helped us cool off.

It's so nice to have bigger kids and to be able to do fun things together.  They were so well behaved on the trip, it was great.  Have a good week!

My new house!! (paint) :)

As most of you know, we almost didn't buy our wonderful house because of how much I disliked the outside (love the inside though).  We planned to paint right away when we bought it, but other things took priority.  I'm glad we waited because a new house was built in our subdivision and we love the colors so we were able to paint ours in the same colors.

Here's how our house used to look (except it was a lot uglier in person, seriously)

Here's our house now, except it looks even prettier in person, seriously.

Mark made the shutters himself (there are some on the bottom window too, but it's hard to see with the tree in the way).  He did an amazing job and it only took him a few hours and it saved a ton of money.  Then the painters painted them and put them up.

Here's our new gorgeous front door, it's hard to see in the other pictures.  It's a beautiful "front door red", Mark's parents gave it to us because we were having a hard time finding the right color and they had some left over from painting their house.

I'm so thrilled with how the whole house turned out.  The pictures don't do it justice (but it helps if you click on the pictures to see them bigger).  It's a beautiful light green with white trim and dark accents.   You'll all have to come see it in person.  Have a great weekend!

Fun at the Fair!

We love to go to the fair.  After having such a great time this year and last year, I think it will be a family tradition.  One of our favorite parts is the petting zoo.  You can buy cups of feed for a dollar and the kids have so much fun feeding the animals.  The girls also got to milk a cow this year which was very fun.

Joy loved to feed the goats and see all the other animals.  Their were chickens of all sizes and colors running around free and that was fun.  We also like the baby chicks.

Grace loves to feed the animals too!

Joy is amazed by something she's seeing, such a cute face.  I love this age, everything is so new.

Pretty BethAnne

This is my favorite animal at the petting zoo.  It's even bigger in person, I don't let the kids get to close, but it's amazing.

BethAnne and Grace had lots of fun on the rides this year.  We splurged at bought them wrist bands so they could go on as many as they wanted.  It was great because it wasn't even very busy from 7:00 to 8:30pm (even though it was Friday), so the kids didn't have to wait to long in line.  It was funny how the lines for the kids rides got really busy as it got later.  It was busiest right before we left at 10pm.

Joy got to ride a lot of rides this year too.  She loved this boat ride and she had so much fun ringing the bell.

I wish this picture was better, but you can kind of see the utter delight that Joy had on all the rides.

It's fun that both the girls weren't scared of any of the rides, so they went on everything together.  I can't wait until next year!
