BethAnne's Birthday and more!

My firstborn child, BethAnne, turned 15-years-old on the 24th of February.  That means I'm old, but I'm still kind of young because I have a baby.

Pretty BethAnne

The girls and I went to see Wonder at the dollar theater.  Great movie.  I'm looking forward to many years of fun outings with these sweet girls.

Daniel's wearing a 3T outfit in this picture. It's a little big, but he's now wearing 2T clothes regularly. We think he'll be as big as BethAnne soon. :)
Daniel started thinking about crawling last month.  Now he is army crawling all over (when he feels like it)
Such a happy baby.

Joy made this great picture of an Ice Cream Sundae.  We used the picture to make an invitation to invite several neighbors over for a Sunday Sundae Social tonight.  We had a great time visiting with our neighbors and I think we'll do it more often.
Now I think I'm caught up on blogging for awhile.  Thanks for following our adventures.

February 2018

In November we started a new chapter in our family when we started homeschooling Joy (BethAnne and Grace already do online school).  This has allowed Joy to be able to skip a grade (from 2nd to 3rd) which is really good considering her height and intelligence.  It's been an adjustment for all of us but she's doing great.  After one full year of homeschool/online school in her new grade, the public schools will recognize her in the advanced grade level so we could put her back in public school then if we choose to.
One benefit of having all the kids at home doing school is activities like this one- we watched a rocket launch together, the one where Elon Musk sent his car into space.  It was very cool.

 Sweet Daniel

A neat Pre-Valentines Day card made by Joy.  Her cards and art are amazing.

Mark got me two kinds of flowers for Valentine's Day.  Lucky Me!
Andy does a great job with this cheap little vacuum I got.  Best purchase ever.

Adorable Baby Daniel.
February was challenging for our family because at the end of January, Joy got Pertussis (Whooping cough).  It took the doctor quite awhile to figure out what was going on, they didn't suspect Pertussis because she had been vaccinated (as we all have been).  The treatment was not effective for Joy because by the time she was put on the right antibiotic, the damage had been done. So she had a terrible cough (often to the point of vomiting) for a couple months. They treated the whole family when Joy tested positive so it wasn't supposed to be able to spread, but somehow Daniel got it 2 weeks later.  When he showed signs of Pertussis, I took him in to the doctor right away.  The doctor thought it was just a normal cough, but he agreed to test Daniel and treat him with the antibiotics while waiting for the test results.  That turned out to be a big blessing because the Pertussis test came back positive 4 days later.  By that time, Daniel had almost finished the treatment and he was almost better because the treatment had been done in time.  It was a stressful month as we watched Joy suffer, unable to help and worried about Daniel because of his young age (Pertussis can be fatal in infants). They are both doing much better now and we are looking forward to a happier spring.

McCall Winter Carnival

We made a quick trip up to the McCall Winter Carnival in February.  It had been pretty warm so the sculptures were pretty melted, but it was fun anyway.
 This was a neat sculpture.

McCall Lake before sunset.  We got to watch the fireworks over McCall Lake from the patio of The Anchor restaurant in McCall.  So fun.
Daniel fell asleep holding my hand on the way home, so sweet.

January 2018

Some January pictures-
These cousins two weeks apart are so cute.  Daniel's quite a bit bigger, but Hannah's more advanced in crawling and teeth!

 Pretty Joy
I gave Daniel a new kind of baby food.  He was not amused.
We went to the park one day in January when the thermometer said it wasn't too cold.  The thermometer didn't say it was super windy, but we had fun anyway.

 Adorable baby!
Windy!

Christmas 2017

Christmas with a baby is always so much fun (though maybe a little more exhausting).  He's the best gift!
I was excited to find this outfit in 18-month size (which is funny considering it says FIRST Christmas).  At 7 months old he was going into 18-month clothes.  Crazy!
Christmas morning!  The kids decorated the tree almost entirely by themselves this year.
 Happy boy!
We had a Christmas miracle because it snowed a bunch on Christmas Eve (it was so pretty).  That made for a Christmas winter wonderland which the kids had so much fun playing in.

They even made a little snow man!

We had fun putting this puzzle together for a few days.
Then on New Year's Day we had a Science party doing activities from various science kits we've collected over the years.  It was really fun.  I sure love these neat people.

December pictures

I'm a bit behind on my blogging so I'm going to do some catch-up.  Here are some cute pictures of Daniel from December.
 Happy boy!

The force is strong with this one.

Family Pictures!

Babies don't always smile well for family pictures, but we got some good ones.  I sure love these sweet people!
