Building blocks and dancing

Hi All,

We've been doing well here in Boise. We've been building a lot with blocks lately, making very tall castles. The trick is to finish it before Grace knocks it down. BethAnne and Grace also love to dance to music in the empty space by our entryway. It's very fun to watch them. We also have dance 'recitals' at Mom and Dad's house while Mom plays the piano. I love watching them, they're so fun! I have been enjoying motherhood a lot lately, the kids are so sweet! Grace has settled down (except for sleeping at night) but in the day she's a joy. BethAnne has been happy (usually) and healthy lately. She is having minor surgery tomorrow to take care of some scar tissue on her tummy, but it should be quick and easy.
I've recovered well from my surgery and I've lost 20 pounds so far. I already have more energy and more optimism about life. Mark is interviewing with Microsoft in Boise and he may interview with Microsoft in Redmond, WA (by Seattle). It would be nice if he could work for a more stable company doing real software engineering. Microsoft also has excellent health benefits, so that would be really good for us. We'll keep you posted. So, Mark has been busy interviewing and he is an assistant scout leader in the ward. I've been called as a teacher in the Relief Society. I get pretty nervous, but I know it will get easier over time. Mom has been really helpful, giving me lots of teaching tips and ideas as I prepare my lessons. We're really looking forward to the reunion in August and the Bousquet's visit afterwards. It will be great to see you all. We love you!
Love,
Aubrey

Rogers Family Update!

The weather has been in the low 70's today, it's gorgeous! You should all move back to Boise immediately! The kids love to swing outside, it will be nice when Grace can swing herself. Things here are going pretty well. I've been healing well, but it's been hard to be on a liquid diet for so long, I never did like soup :) I get to move to soft foods on Thursday and I am very excited. Mark is busy as always, but he seems happy. Micron is changing our health benefits so we're nervous about that, but we have faith that everything will be okay. We are trying to plan a trip to Cincinnati soon because BethAnne needs some minor surgery to take care of some scar tissue around her cecostomy button (a port on her tummy that we do the clean-outs through). Hopefully they will also be able to replace her current button with a more discreet, flat one at the same time. We would like to go in June while we still have our current health benefits, but they may not be able to schedule us with such short notice. Sometimes I wish we could move to Cincinnati to make situations like this a little easier. I'm sure things will work out one way or another, I know the Lord is mindful of us. I hope you all have a great week. I'm so looking forward to seeing you all in August.

Hello from sunny Boise

Dear Family,
BethAnne and Grace are loving our new sand and water table, which only has water in it so far. The weather is beautiful here and we are all healthy and happy. We are very happy that we will be able to stay in Boise for hopefully a very long time. As most of you know, I am going to Mexico on May 20th to have Gastric Banding surgery (on the 22nd). If you would like any more information on this you can go to www.gastricband.com . We really feel that this is the right course of action for me and I am looking forward to better health and more energy in the future. I will go down by myself for the first two days and then Mark will join me. We really appreciate Mom and Dad watching the kids while we're gone. I hope you are all doing well. Have a great weekend!
Love,
Aubrey

BYU Bowling!

We visited our good ol' alma-mater last Monday. We had a great time bowling with Chrissy and Delona's kids. Chrissy was a wonderful help with the boys - especially with Adam. She rolled a ball back and forth with him, and chased him around so his fingers wouldn't get smashed. All of the boys loved seeing her and spending time with their cousins. It was nice being on campus in the springtime. It brought back good memories, but mostly made me very grateful to be done with school as I saw all of those college kids studying everywhere. There's not much new going on around here. Lots of preschool classes, playing with neighbor friends, and wishing we could put away the coats for a few months. It's my anniversary, so I'd better go make some plans!

Good News

Hi Guys, I just wanted to let you all know that Mark passed his second phone interview with Google and he's now going to have an onsite interview sometime. He's so brilliant, I'm such a lucky girl! So we're happy. I thought I'd include a picture of our snowy daffodils (taken a few days ago). We're hoping the weather warms up soon. I'll keep you posted. We love you. Love, Aubrey

Our AC works

We used our AC for the first time today. I bet none of you have used yours yet this year. Anyways, we loved conference. I really liked Uchdorf''s talk during the priesthood session. Next weekend we are going to California to go see Stacey's (Steph's sister) new baby. Not a whole lot is new. Bo weighs 14 pounds now. He's a little chunk-a-lunk. Ben is getting to be a big boy now. He has learned that he doesn't have to listen to mommy or daddy...which can be really frustrating. but right now both the boys are asleep, which is really peaceful, and they are so sweet when they sleep. We think that ya'all should invest in webcams because we have one and they are really fun and we would love to see you in person.

BethAnne's Boise Birthday Party

Hi Everyone,

We had a fun birthday party on Saturday for BethAnne. We're so glad that Chrissy and the Llewellyns could come and join us. Mom and Dad came too and everyone was such a big help. You can see more pictures on my web album. Mark is going to have a 2nd technical interview with Google (he passed the first interview) so we're excited about that. We hope you are all doing well. We love you.

Love,
Aubrey
