Decorating for Christmas!
Hi Everyone!
Yesterday we had fun decorating for Christmas. We had very helpful elves this year. Joy carried around that little ornament (in the pictures) for the longest time, it was so sweet (she's also carrying one around now as I write this, I don't think our Christmas tree will look perfect this year, but that will be fun too). BethAnne and Grace were good decorating helpers too, it's fun that they're old enough now to really help. We're excited to be ready for the season already, it feels like a particularly joyous holiday because we're so close to family again this year. We love it here!
These last couple weeks have been rough here because BethAnne had an especially difficult recovery from her tonsillectomy. It was one of the most routine of any surgery she's ever had, but definitely one of the most painful recoveries. She didn't stop crying and moaning in the night until 12 days after her surgery. It was very stressful for all of us to see her so uncomfortable and we were really concerned because she wasn't eating hardly at all for 10 days and she didn't drink enough during that time either. We hope that her kidneys didn't suffer too much from her prolonged dehydration. We're very relieved now that she's finally getting better. BethAnne is breathing much better now and no longer snoring. She should be much healthier from now on.
I hope you are all well. It will be so great to have all the family here for New Years. Have a wonderful Holiday Season!
Love,
Aubrey

Your tree is gorgeous!! Joy is getting so big and so cute! Glad that BethAnne is getting better, poor thing! Hope you have the merriest Christmas! We miss you here. :(
ReplyDeleteYour tree's cuter than ours. I need some real ornaments one of these days! My kids treasure their homemade ones, though, so I guess it's all good for now. Glad BethAnne is feeling better...
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty tree! You did a really nice job on that. We're planning to go get a tree on Saturday - Aiden is literally counting down the days.
