Several months ago, I saw a recommendation online for an Oregon beach community called Bella Beach. I started looking at the various rental houses and dreaming of going there. But when Covid19 happened it seemed like vacations were not an option this year, so I set the idea aside.
Then I was referred to a doctor in Seattle for my unexplained pancreatitis. I really didn't want to go, but I knew I probably should and I scheduled the appointments for June 9th and 10th. A couple weeks before it was time to go, I got the wild idea to go to the Oregon Coast "on the way". That's in quotes because it's not really on the way, but it's in the same general direction. We felt good about the idea, and the virus restrictions have eased in the last few weeks, so we decided to go for it. I'm so glad we did, we had an amazing time.
We got to Oregon right before the sun set. We quickly took our luggage inside and went down to the beach. It was the best sunset of our trip and such a blessing that we made it in time to see it.
Me and my vacation buddy Daniel! It was so fun to take a trip with everyone 3 years old and older. Daniel was amazing on the drive and he was great about staying where he should most of the time.
My windswept girls. The weather was a little cool and windy at times, but never uncomfortable and never too warm (which is important to me)
I love this picture of my Mark and Daniel.
Our kids running on the beach.
Mark took this beautiful picture of the sunset.
A picture near the top of the beach stairs in the subdivision. There were so many beautiful flowers and views there. I hope we can go back someday!
