After my miscarriage, we wanted to do something fun as a family. There was going to be an after-hours event at Disneyland called Sweethearts Night, so we decided to get tickets for that and for a couple more days at Disneyland. We left for our trip the day after Valentine's Day, and Mark got me this great figurine for Valentine's Day by one of my favorite artists. So sweet!
As I started planning the trip, I found out that The Lion King (Broadway musical) was playing in Hollywood at the same time we wanted to go to Disneyland. I've wanted to take the kids and Mark to the Lion King for years, it's a spectacular show. I found tickets for an unbelievable price (I think it was $39 per ticket). I assumed the seats would be pretty bad, but they were good and the show was fantastic!
After the first few minutes, Daniel said the show was awesome (and those first few minutes are quite spectacular), but after several minutes passed, he was ready to leave! It was all I could do to keep him quiet for most of the show. Luckily I had seen it before
And the rest of the kids loved the show (except Andy was a bit stressed at times). But all in all it was unforgettable!
And the Hollywood Pantages Theater is truly spectacular. I don't know if I'll ever see a show at quite such a fancy theater again.
Thank you Mark for going along with my crazy vacation ideas. I'm glad you loved it too.
