We hadn't planned to go anywhere for Spring Break, but I needed a break! So we were lucky to find a beachfront rental house in Brookings, Oregon at the last minute and a couple weeks later, we were off.
The house was big and fancy with a bunch of fancy decorations. The front courtyard was beautiful with lovely, huge daffodils. The actual house needed a little maintenance (it was showing it's age a bit) but the location was amazing.
The house had a shuffleboard table and we had a lot of fun with that. It also had a great TV with all sorts of streaming options. When we asked Andy his favorite part of the trip, he listed the TV first 😆
This was the view from the back patio. It was really spectacular.
On the first morning, we spend some time on the back deck and then we headed down to the beach by the house.
They had convenient stairs down to the beach.
There were tide pools by the beach that Grace and Joy explored.
They found lots of clams and a starfish clinging to the under side of a rock. Very cool! (The pictures above and below were taken by Joy).
There were lots of treasures to be found on the beach.
Mark used most of his vacation time when we moved, so he had to work a couple of 1/2 days on our trip. But at least he had an office with a beautiful view.
We spent some time on the back patio after Mark was done with work and then we went to one of our favorite places in the world, which will be its own blog post next. Stay tuned!
