On our last day we went back to Crescent City. We started by trying to find a good restaurant to have lunch. The first place was too busy, the 2nd place we couldn't get a waiter, so we tried one more place that had been well-reviewed online and it was so fun because it turned out to be in the same building as our favorite Crescent City restaurant the last time we came. And it was great too.
Then we headed down to the beach at Crescent City. It was pretty busy that day, and kind of colder, but it was still lovely. I hadn't expected the boys to get quite so messy, but they had fun.
Pretty picture of the sand (I think Mark took this one)
I love pictures like this. The reflection on the sand. So cool.
After the boys played in the sand, they wanted to go back to the house (1/2 hour away) to get cleaned up. So our plan to go back to see more redwoods didn't happen, but that's okay because we were able to go back to the house, order pizza, rest and pack.
So that was our Brookings/Crescent City trip. It was fantastic. I would build a house there if I could, maybe someday we will.
