It's been a long time since I posted. Last August, I found out that we were miraculously expecting another baby. We felt a lot of peace from the beginning, we knew that nothing was guaranteed, but we knew the Lord was mindful of us. The pregnancy was difficult, but the baby seemed healthy all along, and things seemed to be going okay. Then I had a difficult week starting at the very end of November, I was not feeling well and having strange symptoms, but still the baby seemed fine. Then I woke up one night (early the morning of December 4th) shivering badly. It was strange and scary. I went to check the baby's heartbeat, but I couldn't find it. We went to the hospital where they confirmed that she had passed away. I delivered the baby late that night. It was a difficult delivery with complications, but I was grateful to get through it safely. We felt a lot of love and support from family and friends and from Heaven. It's been very hard to say goodbye, we were so hopeful. We named our baby Genevieve Hope. Genevieve after my Grandma Baker's middle name, I always loved that name. It's been a difficult recovery emotionally and physically. I got postpartum hypertension and it lasted a long time. I had migraines for months, but those may have been caused by the medication to try to treat the hypertension. But I'm feeling better now after several months and there were blessings and tender mercies along the way. A couple weeks after she passed, we were able to go to the temple. I felt such peace and love there and that peace stayed with me through Christmas. I'm grateful for eternal families and I believe Genevieve is part of our family and we'll see her again. I wish she could have stayed.

Difficult News
Sweet little footprints. She was perfect, they don't know why she passed away.
I'm grateful for my sweet family who was there to support us as we buried Genevieve.
The lady at the funeral home made this blanket with the names of all of our girls we have lost. It was very kind.
All of our girls are buried near each other. This picture is from right before Mother's Day, a couple weeks ago.

Those footprints are heartbreakingly beautiful. So awful that she didn't make it but so wonderful to know the Plan of Salvation and that you will get to hold her again and love her and her sisters. <3
